What is Abbeyfield?Founded In 1956 Abbeyfield is a low cost, non-profit housing option for seniors. There are over 800 Houses Worldwide serving the needs of over 9,000 residents in 17 countries. In Canada today there are 40 Societies, 28 Houses and ten more planned or under construction. Abbeyfield House offersA home for the senior person who, though relatively fit, no longer wishes or chooses to live alone. A warm, supportive, family-style atmosphere providing a balance between privacy and companionship, security and independence. Any continuing care support requirements must be arranged by either the resident or their sponsors. |
